The Ugly
The method refused to operate at all this morning. Apparently, a further program was interfering with recognition of the USB device, so I had to go via the whole install process again (yet another hour and 1/two). By this time, my temper is becoming frayed at the edges, and I'm wondering if it's honestly worth the effort I am putting in to it.
Conclusion
Image excellent is beneficial sufficient for my purposes, and leaving my dedicated laptop on all the time, I believe I can preserve make contact with with the camera. So, for me it's worth it.
