This alarm is terrific if you're in an apartment. For a property I would devote the capital to have the entire residence wired, but for apartments, it does the trick. GE tends to make extremely decent and LOUD Window Alarms. The reason for the low rating is that the item on the picture is not the item that is being shipped. Beware of this fact.
