I purchased these to put on our back sliding doors so I'd know when the children went outside. I appreciate the chime function, its loud adequate to hear by means of most of the house. They go on so conveniently, and are inexpensive. The alarm function is LOUD...so they'd perform outstanding for that purpose, as well. There is also an off switch, so that's nice.
I read the other evaluations prior to posting this 1. In the 1st evaluation, the poster stated the alarm was loud sufficient to hear, in most of the residence. I believe that is a perfectly correct statement.
The cause, I'm only giving these alarms an average rating (3 star) is for the reason that I want to be in a position to hear an alarm all through all the entire property! I want the alarm to be loud adequate to wake me in a dead sleep, from the other side of the residence! I want an intrusion alarm to be loud adequate to wake my neighbors (and there is NO way these alarms will)!
The package claimed the alarms were 120 db. As someone who is familiar with decibels, I can guaranty these alrms are NOWHERE near 120 db!
